Homeschool Your Kids. Government Run Schools Won't Keep Them Safe.
This latest mass shooting is by far one of the worst we’ve seen in recent history. 21 people had their lives robbed from them. 18 of the victims were children. I can’t begin to imagine how devastating this situation is for the families involved. What is already a monstrous crime is compounded by the fact that this shooter targeted children.
It’s a type of evil we don’t want to believe exists, but tragically it does. It’s time to do something about it.
Inevitably, after any mass shooting, we will have elected officials arguing with each other on what needs to be done and ultimately nothing ever happens. I believe each respective side does care about what happened but they often use these tragedies to bolster whatever policy they are trying to push. The end result is nothing happens and it’s our children who pay the price.
If one thing is clear, no matter what side of the aisle you land on, Government run Institutions and our elected officials have failed to keep our children safe. The people we have entrusted to protect our children continue to fail them over and over again.
The question we must then ask is, why do we continue to send our kids to the Government School System? Why do we continue to trust these people with the lives of our most vulnerable if they have proven over and over again they can’t protect them?
Parents send their kids to school with the expectation their children will be safe but as this latest shooting proves, their lives are at risk in the public school system. Our children’s safety is the bare minimum they should guarantee but they continue to fail provide them with the protection they deserve. I’ve walked into DMV’s that are better protected than some public schools. Certainly our children should be afforded the same level of protection our DMV agents are but yet that’s not the reality. It’s okay court houses are protected, it’s okay that politicians have armed guards, it’s oaky the bloody DMV is kept safe, but what about the safety of our kids? Do we not have a responsibility to protect our kids at all costs?
I don’t know if our politicians will stop arguing long enough to make any meaningful change. I hope they do, but I’m not optimistic. In the meantime, mass shootings will remain a threat and I can’t trust our politicians to provide the protection our kids need. That’s why it’s paramount we take matter in our own hands and act. It’s time we homeschool our kids.
Homeschooling offers parents a peace of mind they will never be afforded in the public school system. They will never have to worry about their kids being the victims of a madman with a gun if they remain under our protection. Their lives are far too precious to currently trust Government run school systems to do that job.
Our children’s safety has first and foremost been entrusted to us as the parents. It’s a responsibility we should not take lightly. Every-time we send our kids to a public school, we run a risk of them being caught in the cross-hairs of the next mass shooter trying to make a name for themselves. That’s not a risk I’m willing to take. Right now, in our current political climate, I can’t trust our politicians will put aside their differences long enough to enact anything that will make a difference.
If you want to be the difference; it’s time to homeschool your kids. The responsibility falls on us to do what the Government currently cannot. They cannot be trusted to protect our kids. It’s our responsibility to ensure our children’s safety and I trust parents will be our children’s best line of defense.
